Exclamation Faulty Headlight Switch... please help!

The combination headlight switch in my 1990 is pretty screwed up... the headlights will pop up when i turn the switch on for my headlights but then will go right back down. If i like hold the switch then the lights will stay up for awhile, but eventually will go back down. If I keep them in high beam mode then they will stay up... but i dont really wanna get pulled over by the fuzz for havin my brights on. I'm thinkin the switch needs to be replaced, but i have no idea how to or where to get a new switch for it. Help me!

does your headlight stay up for probably about 2-3 seconds and then go back down

yes... as soon as i turn the switch on it will stay up for a couple seconds and then go right back down. I put some tape on the switch which kinda cures the problem but I don't really want scotch tape on my supra for very long. Im sure the switch has to be replaced- but I have no idea where to get one. guess ill look on ebay... but then i still dont really have a clue how to replace it

Toyota still has them. Try a local junk yard, as they are tied into all the yards in America thru the computer.
