Exclamation Headlight directional switch compatibility

Hey guys.

This is my first post, and before I get to the point I want everyone to know that I know very little about cars. I currently own a 1987 Supra Turbo which is pretty broken down (Thanks to my brother). I have a friend who does know a lot about cars, and he is helping me fix it up.

Through much research and stuffs we have found that my Head Light Directional Switch thingy needs to be replaced. I have had a very hard time locating one, but have recently found one for a 1985 supra on Ebay.

Question - Will the 1985 head light directional switch thingy work in my 1987 supra?

Thanks guys, and please excuse my car noobish-ness.

You can try the parts guys at the local Toyota dealer. Just ask them if the part #s are the same for both years. Possibly do the same thing on line, if you can find one, compare part #s.

Noobish...............ness, that's pretty good! You need from an 86.5 to a 92. The 85 is different.

Thanks a lot guys.

Well now the search continues, to find an MKIII head light directional switch.
Anyone know where I might be able to find one? Online stores would be nice. If not I am in the San Diego area, if anyone knows anything around here.

I got mine on ebay. It is a nice piece, got to me quick and a great price too. I have found quite a bit of interior and exterior parts for my car there.Russ
