Do you know where the coolant loss is coming from? How many miles is on your supra? You could check for a frothy oil mixture from the dipstick or oil cap or there may be blowby in your radiator, or you may be able to see the problem outside where the head meets the block. If you see any of these symptoms, or worse, a combination, it's a most likely you have a blown headgasket. As stated in this forum before, it's not a question of if it's gonna blow, it's a question of when.

Your battery may not have a charge strong enough to turnover the engine but still may have enough juice to power your lights. I've heard cylinder #6 is a favored place for them to blow, that's where mine did. The night I blew my HG, I test drove it the next day and I think that put my car to bed because thereafter I couldn't restart my vehicle.

Haha, that's cool. I only drove mine 2wice before the headgasket gave up the ghost. I told the previous owner what had happened, and she said, "That's funny, I drove it practically everyday for the past 2 years and not once has it not started on me."

fat black hose in the back of the engine? on the passenger side? i had the problem a long time ago with the hose and the plastic drain cap. the cap was so old, it was corroded and had a small leak. when i touched it, the whole thing just fell apart, it was so brittle. semi hot coolant went everywhere, all over my hand haha. but i just went to a local auto part store and told them i needed the drain cap, and they gave it to me for free. lol......butttttt i dont know if this is your problem. that was just mine.
