That torque should be good. Just old metal subjected to many hot and cold cycles probably explains your sheared bolt.

![]() yeah im starting to think that is the case with these. I sheared two of the bolts but they where probably in the car out of the factory so I guess they have had quite a life . I just didin't want to shear annother one beccause they were really expensive, the local toyota dealer wanted 200 dollars(rough amount converted) for the six of them.

Have your torque wrench checked for accuracy. The possible part numbers for the oil check valve bolts are: 1570342010 ; 1140149575 ; 1570366010. I think the price you are being quoted is a ripoff. They normally sell from between 10 to 13 USD each when they can be found. Here is a link to OEMparter with a list of dealers that may have it.
