A few questions, getting my supra

hey ppl, i'm on the verge of picking up an 87 turbo 5speed supra from this dealer, i wanted to know what i should be looking for, also i had a few off the topic questions about the supras... how hard is it do replace the head gasket cause my friend tells me it's very hard and that it cost like 2 grand to fix it if it blows which has happened to 2 friends who drive them just this summer so i'm guessing the stock ones suck ass... i thought it would be like 240 bucks for the steel one and then i could put it on my self or something... and becuase i might be driving my supra this winter i wanted to know if i buy that spray on rust pretector stuff how good will it work and are there other ways to prevent rust or is it hopeless for the supra... thanx, your fellow enthusiast, Dieter

it isnt hard to replace a head gasket...i did it myself..but u have to get the torque specs right...if its too light..like from teh factory u'll bust it again, it should be around 2g's...thats including labor...cheaper if you buy teh part and have someone install it...rust is tough...itll need a good sand and some protection...not sure what is out there right now...but if you have it it needs to be taken care of before you get a hole in teh body work...
