clutch slipping

iv finaly finished restoring my supra as my daily and my monthley autocrosser. all of my last 5 events it has performed AMAZING but after the last event i felt the gears wherent shifting as smothley as before and thought the clutch will need replacing soon. this event as i drove there i boosted a bit for fun and felt the motor rev up and the car not goin any faster and thought SHIT!!. already at the even i raced any way and won 1st in my class but the clutch gave me crap all day. now i know the clutch is toast and a replacemnt cost 180$ at advanced but i dont think a factory clutch will hold up to my races and spirited driving, has any one bought a better stage clutch they would recomend for a monthley racer/ daily on a budget?

i looked on hoarse power freaks but all they offer is a 6 puck stage 2 and up clutch kits, im looking for a full face not a puck, any one got recomendations?

If you're only racing on the odd weekend here and there you might find that just a TOYOTA clutch disc paired with an upgraded pressure plate is just what you want. Toyota's disc isn't bad at all... Skip the autozone completely. There are a couple manufacturers who do offer full face discs for the MKIII but you won't find them in a kit and you will most likely have to have an authorized retailer special order it for you.... and as such it's all going to cost more.

but they want 450 thats outragiouse( i think) in a ideal situation i would like to end up paying about 325 for everything i would need( even that is pushing what i would like to spend since im not planning to build this motor untill 3 years from now when i have all the cash built up i dont need anything high power just long life that can be punished), do you think this is a realistic price?

You can also get Spec pressure plates individually. ACT and SPEC are really the only "affordable" options you're going to find which perform well and are still inexpensive. You'll want to hunt around and review reviews from other people before fixing your sights on one or the other and do read and compare all the specifications.

iv been looking around at it seems that it would be slightly cheaper to buy a clutch kit from act or spec rather than get a toyota clutch wich costs 114 and i get a 35% discount but to buy just the pressure plate will cost at least 300, and i dont really want to use a autozone kit( doesent really say reliable to me) there is this option

iv never used or hear of this company but if hoarse power freaks is selling them they must be decent( i also looked at there website it seems legetimet), iv also considered reuseing the factory pressure plate but this seems like an idea that will come back and haunt me( iv never cut this corner befor and i dont think i should start now)
