Have you checked for error codes in the ECU?
Here's how to reset the mechanical and electronic timing: http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...-e-timing.html Mechanical timing must be right before you can ever set the electrical timing... and you musn't have any codes stored in the ECU to set the ignition advance (electrical timing).
