Alright so right now im working on the intake portion of the install and I ran into a problem. The guy before me had a hole in the old intake plugged with some silver duct tape. Idiot. so with this new intake i dont want to use tape obviously so im just wondering what i can use to plug the hole. I would say its about half inch in diameter. I would use a plug but I wouldnt want it to to get blown out or something. Any ideas or anyone with experience in this would be great guys.

is it an actual hole that could be tapped? or a vacuum port? if its a vacuum port, just get vacuum caps from ur auto parts store of choice (a combo pack is only about 5 bux for like 20).
if its a hole, id tap it (remove intake) and put a plug in it. is it in the plastic portion or aluminum? that would help in finding a way to fix it.

Im assuming that there should have been a tube there but when i bought the car there wasnt one on there at all. The hole on top of my air intake is basically blocked by the aftermarket BOV that the guy installed before me. All that it is is a hole in the intake that should have a metal piece in it so there is something to clamp on to. And im assuming that this pipe would get connected to the start of the intake mani. I've seen it in other pics

Jbweld followed by some red rtv. Only get red, or the one above but red rtv will work, or use some sillicone in a tube. But jb weld first, then cover it with red rtv. Should work fine

I don't think that i would trust jbweld on something like this. I would much rather just get some sort of plug. Thanks for the idea though. I just dont want to do that because there really is no going back ya kno

There is no pressure in the accordion hose to blow out a plug. Find a bolt that fits in the opening tightly and put a hose clamp on it to seal it. The reason you want that closed is because it will pull in un metered air that will mess with the a/f ratio.
