does the ecu itself have to be mounted so it can pull a ground from the mounts to function properly??

As far as I know the ecm does NOT use case ground. However, it should be mounted to prevent damage to it and the wiring. I know a couple of supras around here driving around with it just hanging under the dash, I laugh every time I see them.
If the ecu grounds are good, move on to the timing. Make sure the crank pulley's timing mark hasn't shifted and check timing again. You may have to rotate the cam sensor to get it right. Procedures are in the tsrm. You also should use a larger fuel pump and an adjustable fuel press regulator with those injectors. Not saying there's anything wrong with yours but they should have come before the 550cc injectors. Good luck! |
