Yes I would agree on making sure the cam gears spin freely . But there should not be any problems since It should be a non-interferance motor.

yea it shouldnt have had any piston to valve contact. but if a cam siezed then thats a bummer. especially with those nice, spendy 272's...

![]() ![]() I guess thats what u get when you buy high quality parts brand new and cut no corners... Basically exhaust cam is the culprit to this issue... Oil is getting to the intake side great but on exhuast side it stops way SHORT. Possible a blockage of some kind inside the cam or just wasnt drilled all the way thru.

Well hopefully the head is not too damaged and you only need a new camshaft.

damn...worst fear. thats a bummer man. hopefully you can get them to replace it for free, maybe the gates belt too :/
