A Properly built 7MGTE (if you do NOTHING yourself) that is capable of 500-600 HP is about 10,000 (where I live). You can get it rebuilt for about 3200.00 or even lower.. but note I used the term "properly" and gave the HP range.
If your really handy with tools though.. you can do it far cheaper.. but make sure you use a good machine shop for the head/block. Of course.. "rebuilding" an engine means different things to different people. Repairing a 7MGTE is different then rebuilding...
