i've been looking around recently but before this i had no knowledge either
it seems to me that the practical swap would be the 1jz as opposed to the 2jz just because the amount of work required and price of engine seems to me though a lot of folks are happy with their 7mgte's though so you might want to consider picking up a turbo instead of n/a to save yourself some money in the longterm |

yea i was pretty happy with my 7m until i got rid of it and put in a 1jzgte, i like this motor better i dont know why....it just sounds nice, and putting a 2j into an mk3 is a lot of work and trouble, not many people or any at all have gone down this road...do some research see if its possible...i know no mk3 with a 2j motor in it

i guess you could do it with custom manifold made
the 2j twin setup will not bolt onto any other supra engine other than the 2j

O.k. then... I am asking another newbie question. The 88 I'm getting is NA. What is the engine # for that? What parts are needed to turbo it? I'm guessing the engine is the same as the turbo with the exception of the fact that there is not turbo, the exhaust manifold and exhaust period. Am I right?

Best bet is probably just to rip the 7mge (N/a motor) out, and drop in a 7mgte (turbo motor).
