Default Oil Leak and extra Plugs?? Help?!?!

So I have a oil leak, thought it was from the front oil seal and replaced it, started it a couple times and no leak. Ran it a bit more and it started drizzling oil from little gap from the lower timing cover. anyone have a leak like this or that came from the same general area??

Also the Plugs are from the wiring harness, one is white with 3 wires in it a red with yellow dots, a yellow with red dots and black with red dots. the other plug is yellow with 2 wires, blue and green. Not sure what they plug up to but Im thinking they could be the plugs to the california computer for the EGR?? If Im wrong please let me know.

Have you replaced the HG prior to this leak starting? There are only a couple places for oil to leak and enter the timing belt cover: Main bearing seal, Oil pump drive seal, Cam seal (x2), Head/Block union (where you're supposed to put the packing before you put the HG on).

It this a GE or a GTE? The only additional wires for the Cali EGR system are Black with a yellow stripe and Brown... It comes off of the harness as it runs along the firewall.

If you were to give locations or post photos it would be easier for people to help. No one is going to read through the entire TEWD to see if they can track it down just based on color.

If they're on the engine harness you may have luck skimming the following pages... if you don't find it don't be surprised, the online TEWD is for a '91.

It's a GTE. It's a rebuilt engine and I put a 2.0 Titan Metal HG in. Ill post up some pics of the two plugs tonight and where the oil is coming from. You mention the packing for the Head/Block Union, what is that??

Thanks for the help Cre!

IIRC, I read on here somewhere that it's a bead of RTV Silicone. I haven't replaced a HG myself, so I'm not 100% sure on that.

Pretty much. You want to use Toyota's FIPG, Honda makes a really awesome FIPG that's suitable or "The Right Stuff". Failure to seal the points indicated in the TSRM WILL result in significant leakage.

Well Ill find out where its leaking when I take the timing cover off and start it without the cover. But I didn't put any seal packing in the two spots where TSRM says. Ill be taking my head off anyways to put EGR blockoff plates on so ill put some on when I put it back on.

Also can I get rid of the vsv and extra lines for the egr? If so what else can I delete?

Yeah, forgetting that packing is a definite oil leak.
