Replace the cat. That's probably about 1/3 of the extra noise right there. No, the cat's not going to make it higher... lower if anything, but less... well, ricer Honda Civic farty.
If you want good power from a SLIGHTLY better than factory setup you could go with something similar to my last one: High flow cat, 2.5" piping with as few bends as possible, AeroTurbine 2.5" resonator, Borla Pro XS muffler (single outlet). If you want to knock it down a little bit more go with the dual tip version of the muffler OR go with the single outlet and add a "Y" pipe with the tips on there as the outlet. The Y pulls the volume down further. |
im a fan of the duel tips.
its crazy to realize that everything you see was designed to function and serve a certain purpose. from the design of the pen on my desk to the duel tips on the exhaust and the bench seats at taco bell. intense. to touch on the taco bell bench seats. they were designed to restrict blood flow to your legs while your sitting. making your legs uncomfortable and fall asleep. meaning you will get up and leave faster. dick heads. |
You want a sleeper you mean? thats what i got like all u can hear is the turbo kick in once in a while. People tell me, i cant even see u comming from behind lol.

update
Put the new exhaust on him and he is quiet. Though he does sound a bit like a sewing machine now ;) Having tinnitus loud is not a good thing. At least now I can drive without attracting police.
As I said do not need a lot of power for my driving but like a fun car to drive *grins* I still need the chrome extensions and the heat shield for the exhaust manifold. I will leave it to you guys to drive the heavy hp stuff. |
