Good buy? Bad buy?

well since ive been introduced to the world of supras i cant get enough. i have a 91 MKIII turbo. But am limited to what i can and want to do to it kuz its my every day driver. heres where its gets better! i found an 89. the guy said he'll sell it to me for 500$ yes i said 500$! but heres the catch. he hasn't started it in a year. he said ran fine just got other cars and stopped driving it. but not to worried since what i really was thinking was making it my car for fun and hopefully racing. heres what im looking for,and would greatly appreciate ur help.id be looking for a built engine and tranny to go with it. it would be a lot easier if they were already built and ready to drop in set up. so how bout a shopping list!

my first one was parked for a year and I got it for $480. All it needed was a relay and that was it. Actually is the one from my avatar pic. Now my fantasma 87 turbo targa one owner was parked for 2 years on a barn and i got it for $1500. and it was running perfectly , just needed the battery and that was it. Maybe i got lucky with both but i will said that for does deal $400 , $500 etc , I will defenitly go for it because think about it , spend some money on a regular car you see every day is not more plecent that spending it on a SUPRA !!!!
