well if your engine moved forward you motor mounts are separated. If you cant shift out of Low gear your tranny is Fubared..

perform a transmission diagnostic and see what that yields.

its most likely since everything shifted your manual linkage is out of adjustment.

TBH if the motor mounts are bust & the lot has shifted forward it could be that the shifter got pulled out of adjustment & that's why it won't work properly now (though if it was my car I wouldn't TRY to drive it with 240 horses hanging free under the lid!). In all honesty I'd call this a perfect excuse to swap a manual in anyway since that's what you want anyway, since the only sensible thing to do if the motor's come free while driving is to remove the whole drivetrain (or at least motor/tranny/prop & visual check rear mountings) to check for other damage such as cracked block/box, ripped wiring, torn sheet metal near mounting points etc as a whole lot of strain could have been put on virtually anything down the drivetrain from a failure like this...

Hope it's worth fixing else green's offer seems pretty reasonable if it's a breaker.

Don't you have a ECT botton next to the shifter? I've found it will hold it to close to redline through the gears with it on.

This thread is insane.... OP check the diagnostic system and post ANY diagnostic codes that are present. Some photos of the motor mounts and the areas where smoke was coming from would be a good addition as well. Does your speedometer still work?
