The head gasket is a worry but there are many other things that are associated with an old high milage car. If you are not mechanically able and are not ready to put alot more than 800 into it don't buy it. And if you have to pay someone to work on it, it will be a bottomless pit for your money. Also the mpg on a 3600lbs car with an auto is not that good.
