6 pucks are usually plenty streetable.... but yes, 6 puck or less have more and more chatter. A OEM style disc with a very high clamping force pressure plate can cause chatter.
Chatter can happen whether the disc is sprung or unsprung. With a sprung OEM disc if a couple of the springs or rubber bushings (as were the case in mine) break up you may also experience a lot of chatter. The bitch of it is that the only way you're ever going to know is by pulling it.

I was hoping by this weekend I might be able to scrounge up enough that we can put a new clutch in it. If not it will be good to know why it's chattering anyway. Is there anything that I should be concerned about as far as fatigue on other parts?

Replace pilot bearing 11$ and throwout bearing 70$ that's what i paid at Toyota

I wouldn't blindly swap the clutch until you know what's in there. If it's desired you can learn to drive a performance clutch with less kicking, bucking and chattering. I agree on the bearings, definitely worth doing while you're in there and check the flywheel for any hot spots or other anomalies... if there are any get it resurfaced.
