I have no other choice green7m, its that or nothing. I work at the garage, so its no problem leaving stuff there. Since im going to be doing a swap instead of rebuilding, might as well go big.

i heard the cost of putting a 2jz into an mk3 was about the cost of buying a 1jz and a 2jz engine combined. maybe I would just look for an mk4.
the 7m is a platform for allot of power, keep in mind.

there is also a guy here in the For sale section of the forum that has 1jz and 2jz front clips for sell. maybe look at his prices, probably work with you on the shipping and overall cost.

No way dude, maybe out there it is. I know the guys and since I could I pick it up myself, I'm getting a price of $2000 for the twin turbo vvti, clean with about 55,000miles imported.

I'll get the clips when I get the engine, let's take 1 step at a time lol

I decided to go 2j, the guys that I'm taking it too said they could get me a clean 2j for 1800. The cost of the swap and labor will be 900 and they throwing in a free Dyno tune. As always, I'll post pics &/or videos.

cant really beat that with a stick. If you are taking it to someone who knows what their doing and not just your red neck local grease monkey but hell for that price Id supply the moonshine!:rofl2:

I take back everything i just said about the price, the 900 is for honda swaps lol. Im looking at 2500 and up

There is a shop near me called JE imports he does great work but his is pricey I went to see him about rebuilding my 7mge and head worked he said 6,000$ for a ge rebuild. A 1jz swap from him was 10,000-12,000$ for everything

Pricing is going to vary a LOT from one area to the next.. a quote like that out here means the mechanic is either hoping you'll just go the hell away OR if you do still bit he's making sure he'll have a bill with enough padding to take the wife out for dinner every night of the week for a month... ;)
