89 supra to 86 front bumper

Been a member of the forums for a while, owned my 89 for a couple years now. Most of the time its been sitting wrecked unfortunately but a pair of 86's showed up at the pick and pull near me this past week so i grabbed the front bumper and 2 fenders. I've been reading around and notice alot of people switch the older ones for the new bumpers. i was thinking it would get a little better airflow to the intercooler and radiator with the open grill in the front. any ideas or comments?
