From a local vendor, High Strength Bolt, in Kent Washington. As the name implies, Bolts are what they sell and they have a huge selection.
Perhaps you can find a vendor in your area, similar to High Strength, in the yellow pages.
253-872-7905 is the phone number if you want to call them. They will ship orders to out of state customers, if you can not find a local vendor.
And they do stock the stainless steel allen cap screws in metric as well as standard threads.

wierd why i didnt find that page in supra sport.. i look at it all the time.

thanks for the link! ill defiantly purchase a pair before I take my valve covers off next. wounder if they sell the grommets too.

A fastener supply in just about any city should carry these bolts and grommets. The bolts are easier to work with but do not use them as an excuse to over tighten the covers. The spec is 22 INCH pounds for a reason.

I'm still waiting for someone to go with spring loaded fasteners with 2lbs springs.

ok before I purchase

Metric socket head screws, Stainless A-2 (18-8), 6mm x 1.0 x 30mm Each

cre 08-05-2010 01:15 AM

I think I used 25mm; 30 should be just fine though.

Green7mgte 08-05-2010 01:53 AM

http://www.suprasport.com/Valve-Cove...Kit_p_295.html

http://www.twosrus.com/
wanted 16+3 shipping

found something else online that was $3 for the screws and 10 for shipping. im looking tomorrow for something local. Ill just dig around till i find something I can pick up. so just as long as those specs work im in good shape.
thanks for the input
probably going to order these
http://www.boltdepot.com/metric-socket-products.aspx

so would you use the 25 or the 30? for length?
according to a sogi page they used the 30.
let me know Im gonna place the order tomorrow. if i cant find anything local.

also im no metallurgist. stainless steal? zing coated? the black finished ones? what will avoid corrosion and be a good strong bolt?

cre 08-05-2010 02:33 AM

25 or 30 is fine, grab whatever you find, I had originally used female hex bolts, but later replaced them with pan head conventional hex bolts... they're just regular bolts with a broad washer like surface to distribute pressure. Got them in stainless for around $5 at a local Ace hardware store.
