HI
Sounds like your belts poss slipping/partialy.usually on start up when rubber is cold.Sometimes just on a certain load to the pump ie on lock.The belt does not have to be very slack to slip ,just worn or smooth.Should be pretty tight but not so severe to load the pump bearings. Get someone to lock it either way at cold + look yourselfe -youl prob see the belt skip.
