sup ppl, im looking into this 86 or 86.5 supra to buy in like 5 months, i wanted to know if $5000 was too much for one of them, im pretty sure its a 86.5 becuase it has a 3L 24 valve DOCH engine, its just had a new reconditioned motor and gearbox put in it, also is the gearbox for a turbo 86.5 engine is more powerful or stronger than the normal ones?

I bought my 86.5 for $100 from a friend of mine. He got it from some dumb kids that was taking it apart for some reason. He took the drive axle, master cylinder, brake booster, radio, front speakers, and shifter out. Has dents in front driver side fender, bad paint and some scratches but nothing that not repairable. $5000 is to much. U might want to look for a 91, 92 turbo model.

Firstly, where are you from?

Secondly, what condition is the car is? Would have to be immaculate, interior, exterior and mechanically

Thirdly, are there any modifications on the car?

Sorry if these questions have been answered but I havn't actually read any posts lol

Ohh and i'm BACK!!

That's quite old for the price... it better have a fresh turbo engine in it, new clutch, new R154 tranny (turbo tranny, not the N/A tranny) and be in great shape. Mine was close to $5k but it's an 89 and everything I was looking for (red, targa top, 5 speed, turbo, black interior)

Whether its a good price or not depends on where they live...

For example, down here in Australia, its hard to find a MKIII Supra in excellent condition for under $8,000 AU. You have to shop around and bargain for that. In the US you should be looking at $3,000 US. ALL countries vary in price, and whether or not its good, depends on where the dude lives. Also like I said, if its been heavily modified etc.. it could very well be worth the money, as long as its all in great shape, even if you do live in the US or a country alike.
