Ok, One More Question: Head Gasket - Page 2

i just gota pop a qustion here.............whats the big deal about a blown head gasket?

i mean ive done around 30 3.1 GM head gaskets and about the same for hondas, why is everyone so flacky with the supra? i mean its an inline 6, with two cams.........it cant be that hard to do...........im going to look up the labor for fun.

The problem is that most people don't want to run normal boost settings (MORE POWER WOOHOO), so they have to get the block smooth, torque the bolts/studs down tighter (toyota's factor spec was too low!), and use a metal head gasket to hold the pressure. Being an aluminum head, and very long, it tends to warp, so it has to be machined, plus getting a block machined isn't easy either. <_<
