Only go to a MLS if you have the block machined with the head.

As for Graphite, that's probably what I'll be going with. I have a BHG and need to get around to replacing it.

In the meantime the car is sitting while I ride my ST1300.

You didn't do your research.

You can turbo an na car. But why would you want too???
And nitrous will all but promise you a blown head gasket.

Bullet proof is how you need to be thinking because your na is 15 years
old at least and won't tolerate your heavy foot for long without shucking something.

Good Luck.

Did you say I can or cant turbo a na car? Im hust curious to know why it cant be done? I have already thought about making the engine bulletproof just for that reason. I have arp head studs already. Now im gonna go through and figure out what else I need along the way. My question was which is the better head gasket? Do the blocks of the supra s have problems with warping? Thanks for the info. And thanks for responding.

You can turbo a N/A car, there's just a lot more work involved in it, so you'd be better of putting in a Turbo motor. However, that still won't solve your current situation, as you will probably need to replace the head gasket in a different motor too. If you're going to want to make a strong motor, get the Metal head gasket with those ARP bolts you said you have.

From what I've read on this forum (which means you can read it too...) the head is what is prone to warping. Our heads (I believe) are made of aluminum, which is much more flexible than the cast iron block. When you put in your metal heads gasket, you will NEED to send that head out to get machined smooth; any imperfection, and your gasket will blow. While your head is gone, you should start prepping the block in whichever fashion you determine is right for you. Just make sure it's realllllllll smooth too.

Since your gonna have your motor apart, are there any other mods your thinking of doing to the car?

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Im new to the site and havent looked around to much and would like too. Im new to toyota and I dont know alot about them so all the info helps tremendously. Sounds like you know your stuff when it comes to building cars. Anyways im not sure what else I want to do to the car. I do know that I want to paint it and put wheels and exhaust and maybe just lower it. Iv also thought about maybe doing strut tower braces and such like that. But we will see what happens after the motor is done.

You're going to have much more important things to spend all of your money on with a supra.

Hey man. Spend that 400$ on strut tower bars instead of an HKS MHG.

It's your ride.

I'm just saying that you should slow down a bit and see what the car really needs.

Thanks for the info. I understand what you mean. Im in the process of taking care of the engine. What I really need is some parts to the inside of the car. My dash is broken around my stereo and the driver side arm rest and things like that are missing. So i want to get this stuff fixed and that cool stuff. I think Im going to make the interior pretty much stock. Nothing fancy in case I sell the car and someone doesnt want all the aftermarket stuff in it. Im also needing a turbo intake manifold if anyones knows how to get one and where CHEAP!!!!. Well thanks for info
