hi i was reading ur post and i have the same problom howd u find out it was heater matrix and what u do to fix it

hi i took the hose off going into tohe matrix and used a hose from the tap on it and left it running till the water came through clear and fast

You may still may have a problem with that in the summer, when you select the cold setting on the heater control; this operates a control valve on the bulkhead. (near the ABS unit on UK models) this shuts off any coolant going into the heater matrix. The coolant is then diverted back around the system from the pipe union at the rear of the head, which is the same as the heater matrix becoming blocked.
