Default Question about AC

In a 89' turbo mk3 does the AC only work on low and medium settings and not high? I was looking at one the other day and the AC worked fine on low and medium but i put it on high the ac light goes out. Was just wondering if thats normal.

Can't tell you for sure as I no longer have my supra, but I am 95% sure that it is supposed to work when the climate control is set to "High". Also make sure that the climate control is set to a low temperature, like 65 degrees.

Good thing to check is to see if it's just a light issue on the control unit. With the car running, turn your AC on in a setting that you have found it to work. Pop the hood, and look at your AC compressor. You should see that the clutch has engaged, and that the compressor wheel is spinning. Now set the control to "High" and check the compressor wheel again. If it's not spinning, then your AC is malfunctioning in the "High" mode. If it is spinning, then your control unit indicator lights are not working properly.

Hope this helps you out.
