Well you can try this...charge the battery... unhooked from car... hook up lock unlock car with key.. then it should start...
Now you need a test light... get a cheapy from walmart.. few bucks... unhook the negitive cable to the battery... hook one end of test light to the battery (neg) the other end to the (neg) cable ... if the light is real bright.. you have something drawing power... try to put test light were you can see it from inside car.. start pulling fuses ... inside and out.. till the light goes out... unplug the clock fuse first.. and the door ajar thing... when door open its gona turn lights on so it pulls power... anyway you should get a idea on what you need to do to isolate the issue with the draw on battery... This will be a lil reading, same problem here. I had to have my tranny pulled for some work and a new clutch. The auto shop put it back in. No known problems to me for about three or four days. Then I got out of work one night only to have my battery dead as a door nail. I jumped her, and got home. I left it running a while thinking it might have been a rare chance. killed it and cut it right back on w/ no problem. Came out the next morning to the same thing. So, first thing was replacing the battery since I knew the altenator was good. Went about my marry way. Only to figure out the next day that my problem was still there. I had also gotten some replacement factory speakers installed at which point the guy happened to knock my key assembly to the hatch in where I can't get to it. Figuring this might be the problem I bypassed the alarm system(or tricked it to making it think the door was open, so the alarm wouldn't engage) No such luck. Dead the next time I came out to it. NEXT, I tried making a kill switch for the battery, and ran the switch into the car. I had two cables connected to my positive ( one to the starter, one to everything else). I tried hooking both up seperately with no luck again!!!! I tried hooking them up together to the switch which bit me in the ass( too much voltage fried the switch). So, now I'm to the point I'm going to pull my hair out!!!! Any clues??? I just can't get ANY battery to hold a charge in this car even after cutting the power in both directions. I had read about a piece attached to the back of the altenator that regulates voltage...could this be the problem???
