they are alot faster than a stock honda!! my old stock motor beat my friends 5.0 mustang.

they varied. anywhere from 3400-3800 lbs.

man why are they so heavy, I was thinking about carbon fiber hood, would that lessen the rigidity

nope. wouldnt lessen the rigidity, thats what the strut bar is for. carbon fiber is to be a strong lightweight material. why bother, when you can just go fiberglass for less. it might not be as strong, but why would you be putting stress on the hood anyway??

I think fiberglass doesnt hold very well over large surfaces like a hood, plus (don't quote me on this) I think fiber glass doesn't like heat much or something, anyway, there's a reason why saturns still use metal hoods but can't remember why.....

yeah man, i have a c/f hood on my mk3 i dident even notice the diferance. the thing that bothered me the most is when i drive with my roof off. you will notice alot of chassis flex. so i got front and rear strut tower braces.
