I would say you should get a JDM engine, the only thing is you may want to do a light rebuild on that, just because its a JDM engine with low miles doesn't mean that it want abused.

I would say spark plugs, spark plug wires, piston rings, a full engine bearing kit, main and head studs, MHG, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, water pump, oil pump, engine gasket kit, and some machine work to ensure that the MHG will hold.

I have done some searing on a light re-build for a 7M-GTE, I came up with a total of about $1200, without machine work. The machine work will really depend on what condition the engine is in.
