Default Weired Cruse Control Issue

Hi all, has anyone ever seen a Supra that had the cruise control removed? When I removed my steering wheel to replace my wiper combo switch I saw the plug beneath the face for the cruise control but no where to connect it to, I have the electrical wiring diagram TSRM for my car and it is not giving me the correct wires in the diagrams. The wires it says that are for the cruise control go into the wiper combo switch, so it has not really helped me.

I have some pics of this, any ideas on whats going on or how to fix it would be great. Thanks.

Well first thing is where did you get the switch and the steering wheel cover from. Is the the steering wheel face from your old one or the new one. The reason I ask this is because if the switch is from japan I know from my clip that not all of the cars over there had cruise. So mine isn't hooked up because I don't really use it anyways.

The wiper combo switch was new from Toyota about 12 years ago, I got it on ebay, it came out of a 87 Supra. The wires for my switch and the replacement one were the same.

I did not replace the face, its the original one. The fact is, there is no plug for me to plug the control buttons into, its as if it was taken out, and my car has all of the cruise control hardware; it has the actuator, the harnesses, the main switch, even the fuse is in the correct spot, so I know my car came from the factory with it. When I was taking every thing apart there were obvious evidence that it has been taken apart before, possibly to find why the cruise control wasn't working, or to remove it. So I am at a loss.

The car had a lot of small stuff added to it at some point in its life, it had a after market alarm system and who ever installed it hacked up the wiring harness and caused more harm then good, it also had a car phone installed. It has tons of wires added throughout the car, to and from everything and nothing, possibly for the alarm system. Thats whats leading me to believe the cruse control was plug in the steering column was removed for some reason.

I drive about 100 miles a day, so I'm dieing for a little cruise control, lol. Thanks.

Dude..., I would start by removing all of the shite wires you know you don't need.

If it had it??? You should be able to find the correct wires and hard wire them in.

Other than that. I'm afraid I am not much help on this one. I just thought I would offer this bit up to ya.

Ya, I would love to remove all the useless wires, I have already gotten rid of a few of them, the problem is that I don't know what would happen if I cut out all the useless wires, the after market alarm system has already damaged the factory alarm system, sometimes it works other times it doesn't. I have tried to remove other wires and then the vehicle didn't start, sooo I'm going to leave it for now. When I pull the dash out to rewire the starter solenoid I will try to fix the harness, that way I'm not contorting my self in positions I didn't know I could, to rewire the harness while the dash is in there.

I would just hard wire the cruise control but the problem is the whole turning thing, lol. I will probably have to run switches somewhere else so the wires do not bind up in the steering wheel. Thanks for the ideas though!
