I too am in the same boat as I just picked up a 7MGE 87 in great condition for $800. Only real bitch is that it's an auto. well, I don't really mean it's a snap, I just meant that it's just a matter of getting the parts and replacing them, instead of having to machine parts to custom fit this to that.
there's a post pinned on the general FAQ here with a list of parts but since I already own a MkIII stick shift all I have to do is lift the girls' dresses and see what I need. I will be doing this swap in a few months since the automatic supra doesn't run yet. I'll be posting as I go
