Hi.
I am using Motul 300V competition, full synthetic, competition oil. It is a 15W50, above existing standards. With it you should be carefull not to WOT till the engine is at normal operation temperature, but after that.... WooOt. ![]() I used to run on semisynthethic oil (10W40) or somethingm and I was putting almost 1/2 l oil for 1 l gas , not to say it ruined my crankshaft bearings.but this is just me.

There's a lot more wrong with your car than just the oil weight...
![]() Toyota only recommends 20W-50 for the HOTTEST environments for a reason... I'm not going to get into this here though. There's a TON of info on oil and what weights fit your needs the best over at supramania.com. |

Well, if you live somewhere cold I would use the 5w-20 remember (ei. 10W is the thickness when you pour the oil, or in your case 5W, and the 20 is the molecular strength of the oil.
