OKAY IM ON THE BOAT FOR ALL THE ABOVE!!!!!!
I live in missouri and actually found a lady in grain valley which is about 20 min east of where I live and she just had her supra ovehauled cause it spit out coolant from overflow bottle one morning in her parking lot where she worked. She told me she had the car towed to a friend and he installed a jdm engine into it. I found her on craigslist. I called her about her motor and asked every question I could think of. She told me she want ed 200. bucks for the engine so I offered her 100 cash and she took it. So far everything looks good but like CRE said I love surprises. But for 100 dollars I couldnt pass that up at all. So im in the process of tearing it down and ill just pull the other one and use what I need and have fun with the rest. Im game for whatever. Again I just need to find some interior panels. |

^^^ And THAT ladies is how you do it!
Provided you actually have a garage to build an engine in... my wife would kill me if I tried to work on one in the living room. ![]() |

Yes Sir.
Score of the year. That's as close as you're going to get to a barn find these days. Now yank out the entire engine piece by piece and drag a$$ to the machine shop and spare no expense. Valve job, port and polish. The entire lot of it. You want arp studs. NOT bolts. STUDS. You need to know how much metal is removed so you can get the math done for the gasket thickness you require. Performance Parts Aftermarket and Racing Ext. 103. Speak To Dave. Tell him Mike sent you and He'll set you up and he won't brake it off in you. You want an HKS stopper Metal Head Gasket or mhg. You may as well have the block decked as well. I'll stop here before your brain melts but this is just off the top of my head. Timing belt. Coolant hoses. Tube of molly. Get all of your parts assembled and together. Before you even start. Upper engine gasket kits do not come with every gasket you will need but they have everything you need to put the head on. Including injector grommets. Big Plus right there. Cut no corners and whip the horses eyes. Ride the snake. To the ancient lake. |

Your right cre if my wife saw that I was building an engine in my living room she'd have my A$$$ in heartbeat. We cant build them anymore like we did when we were single. I work for suzuki so I have plenty of room to work. I appreciate all the help fellas. This is going to be a very fun project. I always wanted to build a nasty turbo motor in a rear wheel drive car but im just not into the v8s like I used to be.
