I doubt the TC has anything to do with the engine cutting out.

Start checking the spark first. Then fuel pressure.

i think that you need to def check fuel pressure more then spark what sounds to me like its flooding the cylinder. supras come with a stock fuel pressure regulator and yours might have gone bad and when you are gunning it as i would expect that the fuel pressure regulator is malfunctioning and its causing it to flood the cylinders. hook up a fuel gauge and see the fuel pressure and make shure its around what it should be. the rev it up to 4 grand and see if it increases. thats what i would check first.

This not how you test the fuel pressure. Also, it would be impossible to 'flood' the engine with fuel at 4000rpm because of a bad FPR.

"Starve" the engine would be the results.

Is it a turbo car?
Cuz when I had a boost leak everytime I get boost when rev are around 4400 it'll start to sputter and die down
And I have to rev it up to keep it from dying

if it was me i would do a feul pump and a fuel filter walboro aka weinboro is a good way to go they have a lifetime warrenty for them. and you can never go wrong with putting them in but dont be sad when you put them in and it doesnt fix the problem. but when you got it done youll be happy you replaced them.
