there weren't any turbo models in 85 or earlier(US models). gears between models can be switched, however some came with lsd's and some didnt. there should be a tag on the rear end, which has a code for gears with/without lsd. my 85 had an lsd with 3.73s, while my auto had 3.23s non-lsd.

well my is a lsd rear end too.... but i adjust n mess with the gear inside the rear end conf. n it run better tho. i told my bro. in the Marine base in Japan Tokyo n he send me some weird part for my rear end conf. n i change little bit n it run pretty now.... n yeah the US model for the mk2 doesnt come with turbo. but any how you can swap the 6mge JDM with turbo.... that i know is 230hp stock turbo that came straight from japan.... but if you want the 6mge non turbo then the horse power will be 190 that it... thats all you gonna get... i were using 5mge bottom block with the 6mge head n chamber setup... with ct-26 from mk3. n now i just about to update the turbo into a t-4 hb turbo. but that will be after X-Mas tho. hope this will help little bit tho. if not then oh well... pass on. peace out.
