Default mkII starter cutoff?

I have 85 supra, cannot find definite answer if these cars had a starter cutout from the factory alarm. I changed the battery and now the car wont start, just a click. not sure if its related or not but the doors will not stay locked with the electric switch. they immediatly auto unlock. This still happens even with the alarm box removed
