Default Regina drift day

Well Regina drift day was a smashing success! Friday I took the supra out for its official make it or break it run, took it to toyota and they checked out my oil pressure problem and narrowed it down to the pressure sending unit. From there I bumped into my friends randomly while driving back home and we ended up heading to the shop out in the boonies. We que'd the music and worked on the cars from 3 pm to 2 am that night to get them ready for the drive to Regina. Needless to say it was a long/short night, we all only got about 2 hours of sleep before heading out.

My brother and I were up by 5;30 am, I slept in big time due to only getting back home at 3 am. So we quickly packed up the car with all the camera gear and put the tires to the pavement. Got the the buddies place at 630 and loaded up the rest of the stuff and off we went.

We ended up getting to Regina at 9:30 am but got lost trying to find the track. Turned out we missed a turn almost immediately and went a mile or two off track but it didnt take us long to correct and we made it to the track with 10 min to spare before the driver lockout.

We were still some of the first people to arrive but by the 10am cut off the pits had filled up and driver briefing began.

Before long the drivers briefing was over and it was time to lay down some big time rubber. I tried to get video with my cell phone but it was so windy most of the footage was junk.

The first casualty was a 95 skyline gt-r with the r34, guy came with the intent to blow it up so he could put his new motor in. Got it to the pits smoking bad and then put the pedal down, ended with a rod going through the block.
