I apologize I skipped over two of your questions. Yes the filter needs to be relocated.
Yes you also need a tach adapter. When doin the wiring if u can get ahold of the mkiii chassis plugs and cut the 5mge plugs u could make adapters rather the needing to cut the 7m harness or especially your chassis harness... Now this may be out of line but if u have read my other threads u kno I'm a jz fanatic... I have owned 3 7mgte and they were good engines but I now have a 1jz and know a ton of locals that have 2jz. I woukd highly recommend u consider a jz engine. A LOT more reliable. And faster mod to mod. Without having to open the engine up for the famous BHG like the 7m a jz can make 600hp with upgraded fuel system and turbo. Not to mention they look so much better. And the sound is oh so heavenly!!! I just say this cuz i wish I would have done a jz rather then a 7m after I was done in my mkii...
