Default MKIII - What size stock speakers?

What size are the front, middle and back stock speaker in my supra 89? I'm guessing 4''?

More of a confirmation than anything else - the front speakers on my '88 N/A model are 10cm, which i guess is about 4".

I fitted a pair of Kenwood KFC-1050's this afternoon at about 20 mins each side. Pretty good considering they only came to ?20

Default Speaker sizes

According to Crutchfield, the fronts are 4" and the rears are 5" ..BUT they don't make 5" anymore, so you have to get 5.25 and cut the plastic OR get 4" and adapt them somehow. I am looking to replace my speakers as well... I just measured and I get about 4" in the front and 4" in the back ('87 MkIII NA). So will give it a shot and let you know... :-)

Default subs in the mk3?

Did the mk3 come with subs? I was taking out my rear speakers and I noticed some things behind the rear seats that kind of looks like subs. They're pointed down, towards the road. My car was fully loaded back in the day, so if there was an option to buy subs, my car has them.

If they're not subs they might be something with the TEMS system?

Default Subs

I think I know what you mean.. those metalic things you see when you lift the rear deck cover off? I think those are part of the TEMS system.

the front doors can fit 5 1/4" no problem and possibly 5 1/2" with a custom bracket. the rear speakers are 4". if you take the trim piece around the rear seats off you will find another set of speakers that are about 3 1/2"

the front are 4" and i think the backs are originally 5", but good luck finding 5" speakers. youll have to do either some cutting and get 5.25" or get some sort of bracket or something and get 4"
