Okay, Head units I'd have to say Pioneer Premier, Alpine, and Sony make the best. But for speakers I say Rockford Fosgate and Boston Acoustics have to be the best out there. For subs I'd say JL Audio is the best.

Default wow rookies

hmm so heres the real deal

headunits...
alpine-best by far-dont overheat-easy user interface-ipod connections-everything
pioneer-not bad at all..overheat sometimes if you dont reconnect power straight to battery..interface is by far the easiest and has tons of options for sound
kenwood-same as pioneer
sony-dont even waste your money..overheat...dont last long...bad product
eclipse-very nice headunits...good for trucks and jeeps because of the major skip protection and insides are very well insulated...kind of hard to use until you get the hang of it

subs
JL AUDIO-by far the best product ever...just plain badass....amazing sound quality..awesome looks..good warranty...kinda pricy but def worth it
Kenwood-not bad...good for mid bass and mostly good for rock music
pioneer-only ones i have used are the IMPP's they were pretty damn loud but no sound quality at all
sony's-not bad at all about same as pioneer..really loud bass but no sound quality at all
MTX-very good company..nice warranty...GREAT mid bass and good for pop/ rock and some bass
lanzar-used once...very loud subs...NO SOUND QUALITY AT ALL
RF-good for really LOUD NO QUALITY BASS

amps
JL AUDIO-All the way...BADASS amps....one of the only amps that dosnt lie on their wattage on the box...amazing sound quality...good warranty...easy hookup..def like the stick in and screw connections unlike the sonys and stuff where you have to connect a connector and then screw it down
sony-not bad...OVERHEATS BAD...half decent sound quality for the money..1000w=300W MAYBE on sony amps
Pioneer and kenwood-great 4 channel amps...mono amps are a bit pricy for sound quality and connection quality
Lanzar/volfenhag/audiobahn-all of the knockoff's-they arent bad good for MAJOR BASS but no sound quality..blow fuses easily and channels blow easily
mtx-good amps,, good sound quality...good price..all out good amps
RF-new amps are a bit pricy for the quality they put out...good wattages..old rockford fosgate amps are the shit!! put out even more power than on the amp sometimes

mid and high speakers
jl audio-too much money for quality..blow easily at high frequencies and without amp
MB quart-very nice products..great sound quality at mid volumes..high volumes even w/ amp start popping
Focal-AMAZING--VERYYY pricy but good warranty and good products
sony/pioneer/kenwood/lanzar/ other brands of the sort...waste of the 50 dollars a set if you want some speakers to last and sound really good
RF-same as above

Capacitors
spx and rockford fosgate are the best in keeping power charged

many more brands didnt list but those are main manufacterurs

btw i install and get good prices on car audio..live in houston area

i have 2 12" rockford p2's in a 5hitty box (R/T) and have more bass than i know what to do with. i actually have to turn the bass halfway down because you cant even hear the song if i turn it all the way up. some people dont like rockfords and thats their opinion. i dont like MTX that much except for their jackhammer (its a 22" woofer that weighs 370Lbs for those who dont know).
http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/pro...jackHammer.cfm
and can be seen here.

as for head unit all i can say is dont get a sony!

those jackhammers are ridiculously unnecesarry, i dunt even know if you can hear the song with that,, or worse , can u hear anything after putting something like that about 4 feet away from you, in a close, semi-close area (your car)

haha, your right. they're more for competition...to get some good listening bass you might want to go with something smaller!

i swear to god, why would you put a big system in your supra,

1st of all your driving a supra, thats like an open invitation to people and they will race you in the street

last thing you want is to get dusted by a cavalier, or a neon, or worst, if u get left behind by a civic lol

i was thinkin of puttin sum bass on my supra , i think i will jus go with a single 10" . 12 the most

plus dont forget that you driving a hatchback, means there's no trunk to contain the bass, your is a the box for your system

2nd if you knew anything about systems and how bass travels you would know that hatchbacks are better for bass. go ahead ...ask your local car audio guy what is better.

Well if it matters at this point all newer, like 90ish and up infinitys have bose speakers in them so does the maxima. I always go into junkyards and find them there. So far Ive put them in my dads truck and they are really good except since there is no amp in that truck it distorts on the very high volume setting. Most of the front speakers on those cars are 4 inch so they fit on the supra with a little grinding and fitment. I will be replacing the pioneers that I had in my supra with the bose in a while. So my setup now is bose speakers with a sony head unit.

sori for the confusion
i was sleepy typing that i gotta stop doing that

your supra send an open invitation to pple
i meant was dont go too crazy on the setup
youre car is heavy enough as it is
thats why i said , dont get dusted by a civic cuz youre car is way too heavy cuz of your system

2ndly, i meant by your car is your box
same reason dont go crazy
im having a hard time hearing right now cuz of my dumbass
i had 3 12's , 8 5 1/2's , 4 6x9's, and 4 3"
in my last car, and yes i do know how bass travels
i went to school for it
i know how to install these things
i did everything myself
too bad i had to sell all of them cuz i hit sum hard times
not drug related, so no assuming things

lastly, when i said your driving a supra
i meant giv respect to the racecar
hold up the reputation that we have fast cars

thats all ,
dont go crazy
youll only have one chance to protect your hearing
cuz when its gone it gone
you dont wanna be wearing hearing aides do u?
(i sound like a dork) but im just giving sum friendly advice
