Okay, Head units I'd have to say Pioneer Premier, Alpine, and Sony make the best. But for speakers I say Rockford Fosgate and Boston Acoustics have to be the best out there. For subs I'd say JL Audio is the best.

i have 2 12" rockford p2's in a 5hitty box (R/T) and have more bass than i know what to do with. i actually have to turn the bass halfway down because you cant even hear the song if i turn it all the way up. some people dont like rockfords and thats their opinion. i dont like MTX that much except for their jackhammer (its a 22" woofer that weighs 370Lbs for those who dont know).
http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/pro...jackHammer.cfm and can be seen here. as for head unit all i can say is dont get a sony! Last edited by burton51m; 06-08-2006 at 06:40 PM. |

those jackhammers are ridiculously unnecesarry, i dunt even know if you can hear the song with that,, or worse , can u hear anything after putting something like that about 4 feet away from you, in a close, semi-close area (your car)

haha, your right. they're more for competition...to get some good listening bass you might want to go with something smaller!

i swear to god, why would you put a big system in your supra,
1st of all your driving a supra, thats like an open invitation to people and they will race you in the street last thing you want is to get dusted by a cavalier, or a neon, or worst, if u get left behind by a civic lol i was thinkin of puttin sum bass on my supra , i think i will jus go with a single 10" . 12 the most plus dont forget that you driving a hatchback, means there's no trunk to contain the bass, your is a the box for your system

Well if it matters at this point all newer, like 90ish and up infinitys have bose speakers in them so does the maxima. I always go into junkyards and find them there. So far Ive put them in my dads truck and they are really good except since there is no amp in that truck it distorts on the very high volume setting. Most of the front speakers on those cars are 4 inch so they fit on the supra with a little grinding and fitment. I will be replacing the pioneers that I had in my supra with the bose in a while. So my setup now is bose speakers with a sony head unit.

sori for the confusion
i was sleepy typing that i gotta stop doing that your supra send an open invitation to pple i meant was dont go too crazy on the setup youre car is heavy enough as it is thats why i said , dont get dusted by a civic cuz youre car is way too heavy cuz of your system 2ndly, i meant by your car is your box same reason dont go crazy im having a hard time hearing right now cuz of my dumbass i had 3 12's , 8 5 1/2's , 4 6x9's, and 4 3" in my last car, and yes i do know how bass travels i went to school for it i know how to install these things i did everything myself too bad i had to sell all of them cuz i hit sum hard times not drug related, so no assuming things lastly, when i said your driving a supra i meant giv respect to the racecar hold up the reputation that we have fast cars thats all , dont go crazy youll only have one chance to protect your hearing cuz when its gone it gone you dont wanna be wearing hearing aides do u? (i sound like a dork) but im just giving sum friendly advice
