so i got this 87 supra it starts but the guy i got it from says the timeing advances 40 degrees after start up and idles like shit

he says it needs a new computer can someone help me out on what it could be

when i bought my car about a week ago i noticed a warning light was on. i looked thru my manual and it has nothin about this light. my guess is that its a turbo light. its the light on the very left side of the dash. if anyone knows what that could be please let me know.
