Nice, The only thing I can see possibly being a issue is the tranny tunnel. Since the driver has more foot room the tranny tunnle might be a problem. Nothing a little creative metal work wont fix but it may hamper some progress. Good luck!!
Ahh since it wont be LHD anymore, just sling that old gauge cluster over to me, ehh? ![]() If your interested in selling it shoot me a PM please. Thanks. |

Sorry chambers, I gave away my old LEDs and the gauge cluster to someone else.
Anyway, not much to update. Car is still in the shop and they haven't done much. I went there on Tuesday and all they've done was pull the dash out of the clip and my armrest out of my car. ![]() Only thing to update is that I messed with my RHD cluster now. I was upset with the orange coloring on the needles so I changed them to red. After I scraped all the orange paint off with a razor blade I put this stuff on with a microfiber cloth. It worked awesome to get it to a clear finish. I used two different plastic polishes during this. Plastic-x and this and this stuff worked much better. ![]() Then I put some of this paint on the underside of the needles where the stock orange paint was ![]() And it came out like this, (Sorry about the cell phone pics, my g/f has my camera) PS - I know the speedo and tach are a little bit off. ![]() ![]() You can see on this one, I spray painted the middle pieces of the needles with a satin black spray paint because I couldn't get to the orange in the center. ![]() I also ordered new LEDs for the back of the cluster and just put them in today. 4 red 194 LEDs, 3 super white 194 LEDs, 1 red 74 LEDs, and 5 super white 74 LEDs. The super white 74 LEDs are for the random things on the cluster, like the seatbelt light, turn signal lights, high beam light, etc... Anything with a colored filter on it. I have no clue how the white will look against the filters so it's more of an experiment than anything. Unfortunately I won't have the car for another undetermined amount of time so I won't know what all the lights look like for a little while. I also heard that the harness in the front for the lights and what not need to be extended for the RHD swap. I don't see how that would be necessary but I won't know until I start putting the motor back in when I get the car back. So if this rings to be true, the car will be down for a little longer.
