OK so about 7 months ago I picked up a white pearl edition 1989 targa top and today picked up a 1985 MK II as another weekend driver. Both white! I'm thinking she may even own still on the car but I now find out this dealership is out of business. What to do? She was the last registered owner so can I get her to sign release of the car over to me?? I'm in a bind here anny help will be appreciated. Thanks

You can get a noterized bill of sale from her stating that you purchase the car this date @ this price and that the title was lost and you are now the new owner also call back the DMV to let them know that the dealership is no longer operational and look into file for a lost title from the court house.
