they are located on the intake side
one is between about #2 & #3 cylinder, if you stick your arm under there (when it's cold) you'll be able to feel it...

take off your intake and check the compressor wheel, make sure all fins/blades are still there and if it has any side to side or back n forth play

there are two bolts at the top behind the head, you can get to them with a little bit of mucking around with 2 14mm spanners, use the 2nd spanner as leverage

reason i say no washers is that a boost controller is much much easier to change than unbolting the wastegate and changing washers hehe
