Most local auto parts stores either have them on hand or can get them. I saw one at an AutoZone for ~$300 - I'm sure it was rebuilt, but maybe it was new.

If you've got an Autozone or an O'Reilly's Auto Parts nearby (not sure where you're located) they test batteries and alternators for free on the car with a load tester.
