Space is at a premium. Toyota had to cast fully custom compressor and exhaust housings to fit those two oem twin turbos end-to-end within that space (that's FOUR custom housings, each very unique)....

In theory it's possible, but you'd have to completely isolate the two turbos if they're different sizes. If you didn't the big turbo would spin the smaller one backwards at higher boost levels.
