did the 83 ecu come out of a manual tranny or auto?? if you have a manual,and it was used with a manual tranny it should work fine

i had the same problem with the fuel line...

i had the same problem with the fuel line connectors.. i used to big adjustable wrenches and broke them loose pretty easy

yeah,the cam seals could be causing the leakage.i would clean it with a good degreaser and then keep an eye on it for a while to see if you can track down where it is exactl;y leaking so you are not...
