Bought a JDM 86-93 7MGE for my 86.5 non turbo. Appears to be newer than 87 and the motor mounts are in a different location on the block. Anyone know if the other holes( tapped) in the later model...

The JDM engine I'm looking at is listed as 87-92. Will it fit my 86.5 Supra. Also, they recommend chaging the oil pick up and pump. What's the reason?

Can the engine be removed without pulling the 5 speed transmission too? What has to be done to free the engine from the manual transmission? The book says remove them together but I don't see why....

Are there any issues with dropping a 7MGTE turbo engine into a 86.5 non turbo?
Wiring harness? Vaccuum lines?

I'm replacing the head gasket on a 1986 Supra. I took the head in for surfacing and they had to take off.015" to get it to clean up. Do I need a thicker head gasket, if so where can I get one?
