ok here is proof. altho I did go faster, this is when my girl friend snapped the pic. just before she hit my wipers and sprayed the window with cleaner. :|
thats always fun at high speed....

Ive had my MK2 speedo toped out at 130 on west bound I-44 and still had 1500rpm till redline..Only let out of it cause i seen a trooper on the other side of the highway..

No pic's as I havent seen how fast on the top end since 1999 but back then the car only had a couple of things done to it and I could take it to red line in 5th and the speedo was sunk way past 140 mph,only did it once. I had a friend in the car that wanted to know how fast it was so I showed him!

Yes, it is stupid pulling speeds like that on public roads, I agree with you

But its the need, that almost everyone of us cannot resist

I jus hope their doing their best not endanger sum innocent drivers' life

Even I made mistakes like this b4
I topped out my cadillac at 140mph
To bad the pic was snapped too soon since I was doing it all by myself
And I did 145mph on my turbo mk3 with a slipping clutch
Now I got a better engine, a bigger turbo
Bigger intercooler
I'm gonna attempt to go faster
I will try to get sum pics for yall

Sometimes clubs and other car groups rent the facility and for a few $$ anyone can run what they bring.

Your car must pass a safety inspection, but you don't need a roll bar. Helmet & gloves.
